Whale Center of New England
The free Whale Exhibit at the Visitor Center
of the Whale Center of New England is
adjacent to Captain Bill and Sons Whale Watch.
Since 1979, the Whale Center of New England and Capt. Bill and Sons have worked hand in hand to make every whale watch an educational
experience. The information collected by the the
Whale Center from Capt. Bill and Sons was instrumental in designating Stellwagen Bank, a major whale feeding ground, as a National Marine Sanctuary.
The Whale Center of New England naturalists
use their years of experience to explain
spotting techniques, whale behavior, biology, and whale society. Their decades of research often allows a detailed knowledge of the individual whale you are watching!
